Jamieson Park

Journey north along the Scarborough Foreshore are you will find Jamieson Park. This large grassy park overlooks the water and has plenty of amenities, including an accessible toilet block, playground with carousel, street parking, and covered picnic areas.

Enjoy a packed lunch or BBQ amid the palm trees and gardens, and then take in the fresh air along the waterfront pathway with uninterrupted views of Moreton Bay and Deception Bay. It’s the perfect location for spotting local marine life and watching water sports.

Stay and play

Jamieson Park features an unfenced, chip bark playground with equipment and an accessible carousel. Wheelchair users can get in on the fun and enjoy this picturesque playground by the Bay.

Sealed concrete pathways wind throughout the shaded park, connecting the play area to the accessible toilet block, parking, and foreshore. Navigation is easy, with plenty of amenities and rest areas with seating available.

Moreton Bay Marine Park

Dolphins, dugongs, and whales (migrating between June to October) are known to frequent the waters of Moreton Bay and the marine park. Keep an eye out for these incredible animals, as well as local birdlife. Visibility across the water is excellent from both a seated and standing position.

Another viewing spot is available a few minutes’ walk away on Second Avenue at Tingira Park. This small green stretch offers lush grass and shaded seating areas.

NOTE: Some of the grassed areas at Jamieson Park are bookable through Council for private events. This may impact parking availability and increase pedestrian traffic. This should be taken into consideration for those sensitive to crowds and noise.
