Lake Eden at North Lakes is a beautiful, man-made lake surrounded by greenspace and teeming with wildlife. Take your time and enjoy the water views as you make your way around the wheelchair-accessible pathways and boardwalks.
Dotted throughout the parklands (North Lakes, Town Park) are three separate playgrounds, complete with play equipment, shelters, tables and chairs, and BBQ facilities. Accessible toilets are located in the playground next to the North Lakes Hotel.
There’s lots to see in amongst the shady trees, water, and lilypads. Keep an eye out for ducks, pelicans, and lizards from one of the many viewing areas.
Spacious decks and platforms are located along the boardwalks and around the lake. There is room to sit and rest, and plenty of turnaround space for wheelchairs and walkers. Rails and signage (some with pictures) are provided for extra guidance.
Lake Eden is great for picnics, bird watching, relaxing in the shade, meeting up with friends, a family day out, and playing in the park.
Just a few minutes’ drive from the North Lakes Westfield shopping centre, finish your trip to Lake Eden with morning tea or lunch at one of the local cafés, or catch a movie at North Lakes Event Cinemas.
The park also has an outdoor function area with amphitheatre-style seating alongside a large grassed area. Fitness groups often use this space, but couples can also hire it for weddings.
The Lake Eden Trail weaves around the entire boundary of Lake Eden and is part of the council’s 10,000 steps program. At 1,676m from start to finish, everyone can enjoy the Lake Eden Trail.
