Nestled in a leafy residential area and close to shops, Lemke Park at Albany Creek is a well-maintained park with flat paths, shaded seating areas, a BBQ, and automated Exeloo accessible toilet.
Park in the accessible parking, and it’s only a few metres to the undercover BBQ area with tables and seats. This area overlooks the playground equipment and grassy oval.
Take a stroll around the boundary of the park, which offers some shade, and plenty of trees and birds to look at.
If you have a companion animal with you, there is a dog bowl and tap located near the carpark, as well as dog waste bags and bin. So, your furry friend and service/support dog can easily accompany you on your outing.
A accessible, Exeloo toilet is located via a wheelchair-accessible ramp with rails. This toilet facility is automated (sensor doors, handwashing facility, toilet paper dispenser, and flush) and includes Braille on the interior and exterior signage.
There is also a wooden wheelchair ramp on the far side of the playground, which leads back up to the top road.
The playground is a combination of chip bark and softfall matting. The equipment (which includes a slide, flying fox, and swings) incorporates some tactile equipment, such as moveable beads and knobs.
